Just praying the rest of the EP is filled with dark synthpop kind of songs or disco/Funk bops but I'll be happy nonetheless

Here's my honest opinion on the single; and don't come at me, cause I literally support everything Gaga does.

However, the only thing that I dislike about The Cure is that it's not part of Joanne.  I feel like she created such a masterpiece with Joanne, and something that really stood out. She pushed Million Reasons, and it became a decent hit, and I respected that a lot. However, I feel like Joanne had SOOOO much more to offer, and really, she didn't have much to lose.  The album was something that went against the grain, and I feel like people respected her for that. The tour is already pretty much sold out, so it's not like she NEEDS commercial success right now.

I just feel like she didn't give Joanne the chance it deserved 

In saying that, The Cure is a bop and I would support it IF it was part of the album. But it just seems out of place and random right now... But, I will fully embrace it, since the song is decent, and trust that she has a plan!

But yes it defently sounds like 2017 and not so much Gaga. 
With this song she is not pushing the pop industrie, but it is her chance to get a world wide hit, and become relavant again and then push the pop industrie

what is the problem with the song being "not original" ?

"Till it happens to you" wasn't either (the classic Dianne Warren penned Ballad that everybody pulled out at a certain point in the 90s) and nobody complained.

What is the matter? The sound too "fashionable"? Well, Gaga started with a sound that was clearly "the thing" 9 years ago, She just made it better than others (along with her image and so on)

This song is clearly made looking for a sound that is more contemporary and appealing to the masses than her latest releases: she tried doing some unique and risky things with BTW and ARTPOP, and her sales fell, she did something more "indie" oriented with Joanne (and C2C...), and it has been a very clever move all things considered, now she has to give a new life to her career as a Pop Star with some good and catchy hits, otherwise her star faded for good. 

So, I hope in some irresistible smash hits in the future, but for the time being, The Cure is a cute tune, and a good start.

I was waiting for something "Gaga" to happen in the song and it never came. 

The vocals are crisp and the sound is VERY current. But there is nothing lyrically or musically exciting to me. It seems to revert back to very early stuff. In some of her more generic sounding songs she gives it an exciting lyric or musical change but it wasn't there for me. I understand why people love it but i think it might need to grow on me.

The chorus is very GAGA. I like it. She still does it better than others.
