Very unexpected. Generic pop song. But I guess Gaga is thirsty for a radio smash. Cute song anyway

A. Million Reasons was a radio smash.

B. She spent the last 3 years doing Cheek to Cheek and Joanne. I doubt she's that thirsty for a radio smash.

C. God forbid someone who has spent the last 3 years not doing traditional pop, go back to her roots and make a pop song.

D. This sounds very b*tchy toward you, it's not. That's just a comment people keep saying (her thirsty for the radio that is).

If you mean Applause, well, she didn't want it as a lead to begin with. But I kinda feel like she was supposed to sing it live but instead they took her backstage because she was a. m e s s. Something was clearly wrong but after Applause she came out with at least enough energy to finish the show.
Like they literally took the backdrop from a youtube video that didn't even have correct lyrics. "KUNST" instead of "Koons" like really? It had to be a choice on the spot

I meant Perfect Illusion

I'm in the camp of those that don't hate it per say because it is a Gaga song, but I also don't love it. Not a sound I'm into. Kinda like the majority of ARTPOP for me...I don't hate the majority of it, it's just not my musical taste. Not a DJWS fan at all.

To me, this song is just another cold, generic radio friendly pop song. It's quite obvious she's chasing a radio hit and you know what, if that's what she wants, good for her. She needs to fund less GP friendly passion projects somehow. I do think it's a bit sellout of her and it's strange to see fans that talk trash on the Chainsmoker's music and such like this song because honestly this song is cut from the same cloth.

My favorite Gaga is the classics inspired Gaga and like for me, there was no better moment then last night with her on the piano doing TEOG, Speechless, and Yoü and I...that's the Gaga I love most. AYO was my second favorite moment. She was just so much into being a part of the song and music.

She is a music lover and just so inspired and built by the classic artist that were true musicians in their craft (Springsteen, Elton, Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Prince, MJ, Madonna, etc.) and that's why I love and appreciate Joanne so much. The analog recording and real instrumentation add such a warmth and depth that is truly missing from modern pop music. Even DIC has this complexity and authenticness that, despite a more modern sound, still makes it sound classic and warm.

It's just disappointing to see her already moving beyond and kinda giving up on that, but I know that it's not a style or sound for everyone.

I'm happy that so many of you are loving it though and you should enjoy it! Don't let mine or others opinion deter you. We are entitled to them just like y'all were with the endless Joanne bashing. I just feel like how I did after AP again...liking, but just not loving the music because it's not for me.

Those replies.. I don't want to be banned but I feel like I could be soon. Some fans are soo rude. You don't like "generic pop"? THEN WHY THE **** ARE YOU GAGA FAN? JD AND PF ARE SO GENERIC AND THEY ARE THE SONGS THAT MADE HER! GET OVER IT! ENJOY IT OR NOT, YOUR OPINION IS IRRELEVANT

GD and PF was NOT that generic when it first came out. She actually set the trend with that album.:nails:

I can't deal with you guys.

Its okay to not like the song. But DONT drag Gaga.

She has literally spent the last 2 era's being "uncool" and trying something completely different.

Now that she's trying a tropical sound, you jump on her.

Get over yourselves and leave your negativity elsewhere.

The Surrealist

To all of the people who don't like it:

Try to think of it as a cute song she made for us, instead of a calculated, basic song for the GP.
