It's not all that's important but as a star that has chosen to compete in the big leagues of pop, it is important by definition. She seemed very happy while performing it. This doesn't invalidate any of the work she's done in the past.

there is a group of fans here and most of them are new fans (post BTW) HATES the successful & popular Gaga sooo much and they want her to be irrelevant so bad so they can feel that their taste in music is so special lol

But why is that such a bad thing? I feel like everyone expects so much from her. What if they just came up with this beat, which might not be the most futuristic, but still very enjoyable and catchy, and she decided to have some fun with it and write a cute, sweet song about loving and comforting each other? The song is not a big artistic statement or anything, it was created to send good vibes. I listen to a lot of different kinds of artists and genres of music and still find some of The chainsmokers' song enjoyable...I dont think I have a "generic taste" or I am a "trend-follower" because of this. I am sure her next album will be very different and she will evolve as always, but maybe she likes this kind of "now-trendy" music too and decided to try herself out. This one song doesn't indicate that she is a sell-out now or lost her artistic integrity.

Gaga doesn't need to prove she's an artist anymore, we already know that and everybody knows it. 

She have the right to do mainstream music for radios, what's the problem with that ? The song is awesome and the GP and the fans are loving it from what I see on Twitter (+ it's #1 everywhere). 

So what are you complaining about ? 

In my opinion it seems that you're upset she didn't release a 3rd single from Joanne, what I understand because I wanted DIC so bad and I didn't get it. But TC is so great that I can handle it =)

How can some of you be so stupid? This was not for the GP, it was for us.

Do you think Gaga is blind and didn't notice how half of her fanbase were disappointed when she released Joanne? She made an album that was completely different to everything she's done before and we all really appreciate that but it is Lady Gaga we are fans of, you know a pop artist, so let her give us this gift. 

And also what's this tendency towards hating pop music? In my opinion it is waaayy more generic to say pop/dance music is trash and bland just because it is cool to listen to alternative music now.

Can y'all hear the TF/M-esque pad synth in the chorus? Especially the final chorus? Sounds a bit like the sparkly synth in So Happy I could Die and the chorus of Poker Face?
