There goes my 11. I can't believe my faves are knocked off the second I enter the ceremony. What kind of GoT Red Wedding teas. :giveup:

@littlemonsterL5: Love all the sounds of this bop.

@Bio The way this song is built is so ****ing brilliant. She’s talking about being overwhelmed by her emotions and needing to drink to deal with it all. And the song just builds and builds and builds until it just explodes on your face. Again, the mixture of electronic and organic sounds here is so successful. Another masterpiece on this album.

@Turuncan Another wonderful anthem of sadness in the midst of the dance floor. I am especially in love with the cross vocals in the bridge section.

@juju The imposing instrumentation sort of gives the listener an uneasy feeling, and her vocals give off an intoxicating effect. Perhaps my least favorite song from this batch, but she nailed what she was going for.

@VOLANTIS Don’t do drugs kids. But if you do, listen to this. But generally, this has parts I absolutely love and parts I wish she would do stronger. I wish she went hard on the last chorus but that’s personal preference.

IndieKylie: I really do appreciate what this song does (or attempts to do), which is why it gets a solid score. I’m just not sure I think it was executed in the best way.

@littlemonsterL5 Sexy and amazing.

@Bio I mean, what can I say about this one? Talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, **** on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.

@Turuncan It is probably the first Kylie song I had ever heard in 1998 in a compilation cassette mixed by a local music seller in a summer resort here in Turkey. It was in its remixed form and I really didn’t pay much attention to it then (I was 13 and fond of likes of Spice Girls.). When I heard it later in its closer-to-original form on “Greatest Hits 87-99” compilation as a sequel to ‘Did It Again’, I fell in love with its feeling of self-consciousness. Now I like it even more.

@juju I might be basic, but this song is my go-to here. I'm a sucker for electronica, synths, and the like: this song serves me everything I want, wrapped up in a total bop. The chorus, her soft vocals, the drums! This epitomizes what I love about this album and what she was trying to go for here.

@VOLANTIS Hypnotic Sex Anthem. And don’t forget how beautiful the live mashup was. Ahh.

IndieKylie: Iconic. One of her best songs. The songwriting here is absolutely incredible and intimate. Also, I love that it opened the Kiss Me Once Tour.

@littlemonsterL5 So deep and cool.

@Bio I love this song so freaking much because it’s a little freaky lol. Sounds so stalkerish to me, like she’s watching the guy sleep and then in his tub jerking off, and then those moans, and then her singing the lalala part, CREEPY AS **** I LOVE IT SO MUCH.

@Turuncan After the personal waters of the two previous songs, the “depression on a dance floor” approach of the album returns with an excellent example of trance-dance. Its beats are genuinely hypnotic while the desperation in the lyrics pulls the song into the core territory of the album. An improvement over the dance tracks of Kylie’s 1994 self-titled album and a moderate mixture of alternative sound and dance music, this track is the utmost example that makes me believe how “Impossible Princess” led the way to Madonna’s “Ray of Light”. I also remember how I put this song on in my car while I drove to the apartment of a guy I was seeing at the time and who did me wrong, and I wanted to face him late at night.

@juju The perfect follow-up to Breathe, this track gives me goosebumps each and every time. A highlight and must-listen.

@VOLANTIS Trippy in the best way. A song you don’t want to end ever.

IndieKylie: A trippy song that makes me want to wallow on a dancefloor while the rest of the room bumps around me.

@littlemonsterL5 If you don't like this, you have no taste.

@Bio The production here is A+++ and although I find the lyrics kind of cheesy, it just ends the album perfectly. A masterpiece closing a masterpiece.

@Turuncan There! The dramatic album closer and the almost-title track of the album. When we consider it was the only song from the album that was performed live on the Showgirl Homecoming Tour, ‘Dreams’ could have been a very proper single, too.

@juju The closing track on the standard edition is, well, quite dreamy – throughout the album, Minogue teases us with her playful allegorical lyricism, and it reaches a head here. Impossible Princess can be called many things - difficult, perplexing, intimate, chaotic - but dull is not among them.

@VOLANTIS A beautiful closer. An underrated gem.

IndieKylie: This song is an epic masterpiece, there is no denying that…and it is hard to not give it my 11 here, but I want to keep this a little interesting. The production is spot on and, aside from Limbo or Breathe, this is some of her strongest songwriting.

Interesting to note that our #1 Dreams got ZERO 11 scores, yet got so many 10s that it still won. Queen! :giggle:
