Pop music generally appeals to young people, though. Country music is uniquely American and appeals to a much wider range of ages and people from different backgrounds. It is proudly American, which is exactly what she wanted to show at the Super Bowl.

Even if she didn't tailor the entire album to the Superbowl, she undoubtedly kept it in mind while writing the album because she knew very early on into the album's creation that she was in the running to do the halftime show. She wouldn't just create it in a bubble.

interesting how people are always looking for "excuses" for why Gaga made Joanne the way she did, rather than just because thats the album she felt like making.

I've noticed this behavior in the fan base for some time..... fans will find a way to "blame" someone else for Gaga not doing what they preferred rather than just believing that Gaga did it the way she wants.

Also people with Interscope shade are just being silly.  Interscope is probably the most supportive label she could possibly be on.   You all are always judging on hearsay and hindsight and what you think they should be doing independent of all the factors that Interscope is juggling and their judgment about what makes the most sense.   There will always be some artist/label conflict especially with someone as diverse as Gaga, but Interscope seems like the best place for her.

Todays Top Hits, a playlist on Spotify with tons of followers (I think the most followed playlist, actually). As such, it gives streaming promo to songs included on it. Many Gaga fans think that her streaming problem will instantly be solved if they put a song of hers on it, even though Perfect Illusion was on there and that clearly didn't do much for her in the long run.

What I'm just saying is that they're over stating what they're doing  i don't know what more they can possibly do, to have just scratched the surface all this while.
