I try to ignore just ignore the hate but it's not always easy. the notion that anything is a fad exists only in our heads but i get what u mean but also, the amount of her success shouldnt interfere with anyones genuine enjoyment for Gaga she does what she does for us so that we could escape from those kinds of things

Lord Temptation 11,209
Then how come you made Gaga pay for the music video for G.U.Y all by herself? And why haven't you certified all her albums? And you know Million Reasons, the biggest selling single in 2017 by a female artist, is not on the biggest Spotify playlist? What you gonna do about that? Gaga is irreplaceable. Interscope is not. People grow up and Gaga over the last few years has made herself known to a much broader audience that respect her for her voice. She is positioning herself better for the long haul even if that does not include being top pop girl.

Slayer 9,227
I've always thought this but the comment they made about her approaching NFL about the Superbowl this early on into the process confirms to me that Joanne as an album was stylistically designed for the purpose of the Superbowl and appealing to as many Americans as possible. Which is fine. But it would be interesting to know what LG5 would have sounded like if she hadn't engineered it for the Superbowl. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!! I think if this was true she would of made the album much more pop and gone with the sound styles that are on the radio right now.
Juanjo 2,149
Awesome to see executives so supportive and passionate about her career and plans. I just need them to be this supportive and passionate when it comes to respecting her choices for future 1st singles, and also lets scratch the streaming surface, too, please, in this manner. Thank you.

What you gonna do about that? Gaga is irreplaceable. Interscope is not. 1. because they're not dumb and knew the song would flop, its kinda their job to know if a song will be successful and its pretty clear G.U.Y would not be, its one of my fav tracks from ARTPOP but the video was insanely expensive for a song that was not going to chart well or do decently on radio. Sinking millions of dollars into a project that wont make that money back is bad business practice. 2. they have a catalogue of 100s of artists and probably do them in bulk every now and again probably.. they wont have an employee dedicated to watching her sales figures and chasing the RIAA up every time it hits a milestone.. again bad business practice. 3. thats not their job, thats spotify's team of curators blindsiding her, not interscope
