An 8 year old boy died in the hospital wtf man, I used to live by there it's shocking when it's somewhere you actually know. Trump hasn't commented on this because it wasn't a Muslim or Mexican shooter but like always a white guy who will be victimized as mentally ill in the media

I hope our president tweets about this, he has time to tweet about other things. I will be extremely disgusted if I don't see anything from him

I don't give a f*ck about the president tweeting or talking about this. Obama had to stand there and cry every time there was another school shooting, he would try to pass sensible gun reforms to prevent more tragedies and then the Republicans would block such legislation and conservative news outlets would talk about whether Obama was faking his tears or not...

We've had enough speeches from presidents, there are people dying, there are children dying - can the Republican Party actually do something now?

I 100% agree with this! We need to do something to prevent these acts from happening.

I just find it annoying how Trump tweets about fake wiretap claims, Fox News, makes fun of Chuck Todd, tweets about Hillary, but doesn't have time to tweet about this? It doesn't make sense.

Yeah, I totally get your perspective too and I understand Trump should tweet about this considering the BS he usually has time to spout off about.

At this point though I don't even really get super sad/angry/surprised at stories like this any more. Maybe that makes me sound like a monster, but now it just feels like another day and another statistic. A couple of days ago I actually thought 'hmm, been a while since I've heard about a school shooting' but that was me thinking 'I wonder when the next one will be' not 'Hopefully we are done with that now'.

That's what makes me angry, knowing that Trump will probably, at most, deliver some speech talking about how tragic the shooting was and then slowly everyone will move on and in a couple of months, with hopefully a break from school shootings, I will no doubt think 'hmm, been a while since I've heard about a school shooting' again and nothing will have changed.

It all just seems like a show at this point. A bunch of kids get tragically gunned down by someone who shouldn't have had access to guns, the president gathers a couple of the parents and talks about how sad the whole event was and then we all move on and forget.

These speeches and comments just feel empty, and that's what makes me angry at this point.
