When feminism was starting to become trendy, she attached her name to it a la 'Flawless' and sex positivity throughout the album. Being #woke is now "in" so she made a black power record. I am not saying she doesn't genuinely believe what she's selling but she obviously has people smart enough to know what to do with her brand. A second imperial phase wouldn't have happened if she didn't serve looks that are fashionable with boundaries (something Gaga can't do because she gets negativity as seen with this era) while being political at the ideal time. Our gal isn't going to hire a new team. She's had the same people since the start when she can help it (such as Fred or Sonja). I love how loyal she is but that's also the cause of her questionable business choices. I also don't know what Gagz can do differently at this point to shift public opinion. The card she has played this album cycle is "I'm a real AUTHENTIC musician that can sing!" but it didn't exactly change her career. If she goes back to a dance pop-esque sound she'll get dragged by rival fanbases and the media. If she goes even less pop next album I think she'll anger a lot of her stans. Just remember Bobby is the one who had to intervene to modernize 'Cheek to Cheek' and this fanbase hates that album as it is. I can't imagine what they would've thought of the original album. my poor scalp
