If you could change Joanne's tracklist order...

How would u change it?

i always thought the order was a bit odd, with A-Yo going into Joanne, an emotional ballad, then going into John Wayne. Also the DIC>PI was a bit wierd to me. Anyways here is my personal tracklist :

1. Diamond Heart

2. John Wayne

3. Perfect Illusion

4. Million Reasons

5. Sinners Prayer

6. A-Yo 

7. Dancin' in Circles 

8. Come to Mama

9. Hey Girl

10. Joanne

11. Angel Down

I just don't get A-Yo>Joanne? Or Joanne>John Wayne is my only problem... like Joanne feels so randomly smacked between 2 upbeat tracks

I imagine A-YO --> Joanne as being young and reckless, not caring about what other people say about you, but then you're hit with a devastating event that changes how you conduct your life. But then as she's trying to be the "good girl," she's still attracted to bad boys in John Wayne. No matter how hard she resists a cowboy, she's always drawn back to one.

I think of DIC, then, as having as her fantasizing about the "John Wayne" in her life and feeling to pull of her old habits, but she instead has to "rub the pain out"

 

Or I'm just overthinking it :sweat:

I would just take little angel sis "Joanne" away from AYO and John Wayne and put it with Grigio Girls and Angel Down. Its such a sweet song lost in between two agressive songs
