They dont take blood transfusions period even from eachother. Its not from other religions nor does it have anything to do woth keeping blood pure.

 

They just believe blood is sacret and thats why they dont take transfusions

 

Also nowadays theres so many medical alternatives anyway. Blood is over-used. I myself wanna avoid blood transfusions if at all possible simply because theres many benefits to bloodless surgeries

thank you for understanding! I'm also glad that you can see the danger there is with having blood transfusions instead of looking for an alternative

My boss is a Jehovas Witness and ive known his family all my life. Because hes a JW he hired a lot of Jehovas Witnesses he knows

 

There must be at least 20 of them in my company

 

I know them well and I can say theres a lot of negative misconsceptions and exagerations about them and it isnt fair. but oh well.

 

They are actually very normal people really. Not crazy nutbags ppl think they are

Im always uptodate when it comes to health, science and technology

 

Change in standards can be slow but that doesnt mean better options arent available

 

50 years ago bloodless surgeries were dangerous

 

But now with alternatives, these surgeries allow for no risk of catching desieses or that you wont react well to the blood. And they are quite safe statistically speaking. Its just that because its not the standard doctors are accustomed to not all the them like to offer it because not all are trained.

 

But me, if i think theres a better medical thing out there and my surgeon isnt qualified, ill find someone else.

I'm still a studying. Like i said theres a lot to the religion that people don't understand and yet they're too "scared" to find out how this religion works. you can't just show up and say your part of the religion yeah you can say you're a student of it but until you dont baptize and you fully understand the norms then you can say you're a jehovah witnesses. A lot of people think that because you study with them that you're automatically part of the religion but until you don't study and actually educate yourself and you can teach others about your beliefs then you can actually call yourself a JW till then you're just a student. think of it as a school and you have to graduate to get your diploma. They take they're religion serious and the word of god to them is not a something that you learn from one day to another

Yeah, one of my friends at school is a witness and I've been studying the Bible with her step dad and I don't really know if I wanna advance or not. So I was curious what he would say.

exactly we're very normal and yes we don't follow the festivities that most people do like bdays. christmas, etc. but they actually have a lot of social parties and get together and they dance and listen to the music you listen to only if its not explicit  look at me i listen to gaga but always leave the explicit songs out of my playlist.

i listen to gaga and they are ok with it, they listen to every artist you can think of having in mind that sexual and explicit songs  aren't always allowed when they socialize, my mom listens to adele and so on, just songs that actually have a message of positiveness or good nostalgia. like i said this religion is very very criticized but for the wrong reasons

Yeah? Cool. Ive actually been thinking of studying with WItnesses. THere is a lot they talk about i wanna know more about

 

i often dont like to say it cuz ppl writte off religion saying its dumb but this is no ordinairy religion and theres a lot in life thats unexplained and i wanna be open minded

thats good that you're studying, and yeah is a hard religion but because they actually care and put effort into their followers that why they always are out looking for people that want to learn about the bible. They base the religion in a way that is almost a school and if you decide to baptize is because you have decided that what you learned is true and if you don't want too keep following you can always go back to your old ways, just keep in mind that you'll be "expelled" in a way so that you can no longer say that you're a JW. like i said people think that JWS do the most horrendous things but at times it could be a student of them or a person that once was a JW but decided to leave the religion

I know witnesses who listen to Gaga. But they would probably look down or not listen to some specific songs

You can always study with them with no compromises at all. My mom is JW like i said and she never pushes me to do things for the religion that i down want to do, studying is different then being a JW theres a few steps to take until you can actually become one. so like i said study and asked them any question you want and they'll be more than happy to help you, you can ask for a study of 15 mins, 10 mins and hour as much or as little time that you want. you can actually tell them the schedule you want and they'll do the impossible to study with you at any time even if its for 10 minutes plus is free and every piece of literature they give you is free, yes they take donations so more publications can be made but they'll never ask you for one unless you offer they never force anyone to anything

My boss, at least 20 of my workmates plus several family members are JW

 

They have peaked my interest lately 👀

 

EDIT: im going to some big event this coming week that I got invited to. Its suppostu be like their version of Easter but a different Celebration for Jesus
