But Taylor's lyrics are thinly veiled.  It is pretty obvious that it's about him considering her reference to September, etc...

I knew she couldn't really stay away until 2018. She's had 2 break-ups since 1989, one of which was with the guy who she was calling the love of her life and who she was angling for a proposal from. Taylor writes about anyone who's ever annoyed her in the slightest of ways, of course she's going to be chomping at the bit to write songs about her most recent exes.

But she has to be so careful with this one. The Kanye/Kim debacle of last year ensured that her good girl image was over for good. Even her own fans were scrabbling to defend her on that one. For the first time, this Taylor rumour wasn't speculation, we had audio evidence of her giving permission for someone to do something and then later claiming that she didn't authorise it. She was shown up for being manipulate and as Kim said, trying to play the victim, as always. Everything the haters had always said about Taylor playing the victim was finally proven true. Those snake jokes are still being said, months later. So, when she comes back, she'll have to kiss goodbye to this innocent sweetheart image because we know it's BS. If she comes back and is still whining about exes and saying how everyone is in the wrong except her, she will be called out on it. Plus, she's taken much longer to make a song about an ex than she usually does. She broke up with Calvin 10 months ago and Tom a couple of months ago. If she writes songs about them, some people will criticise her for bringing up old news and dwelling on the past for publicity. It's put her in a very difficult position. And she'd better not try to do an urban album, as was rumoured. There's no way she can carry that off, particularly with how contemporary RnB is now.

I don't care what genre her next album is because the girl can clearly be great in different genres, but I just hope she somehow gets humbled and doesn't come across so snobby and try-hard-goodie-good during the album promo cycles.

It's good to see that not all of Taylor's fans kiss up to her without question. Though I'm surprised its taken you this long to realise that she was a secret mean girl. She's been an overt mean girl from the beginning. I'm surprised it took the public this long to be collectively turned off by her personality, honestly. It's like, if you've been to high school, you'll know the Taylor Swift personality and have bad memories of it.

Most likely not she kinda regretted the fact that Red wasn't as cohesive as the more country "Fearless" album. She realized after losing the album of the year award with Red, that it kinda had a lost identity by having a mix of country and pop songs which then lead her to go full on pop with 1989.

Really? I loved Red. Had some verity. Yeah it wasn't cohesive but it didn't feel disjointed. I liked just about every song from there. But it just sounds like she care more about awards then music if that was the case.

Honestly during all of her country albums and even Red, I didn't see any signs of her being a meal girl at all. And still when I look back I don't see anything that could have set it off for me. I was in middle/high school during those albums and don't recall ever thinking she reminded me of the people that were actively bullying me during school. She seemed like the best friend I didn't have yet who had just had silly, classic boy problems.

I didn't see any signs of it until the Calvin Harris mess. I think that's when everyone realized it. To this day I still stand by Taylor with the Kanye/Famous mishap because from the start she was clear he didn't tell her he was going to call her a bitch and even in Kim's "expose" tape, he still didn't tell her he was going to call her a bitch. But the Calvin Harris/TIWYCF/Writing Credits mess was when it all spilled out and I think/hope she knows that that really shined a bad light on her.

But anyways, I won't act like I don't like her anymore. She was a vital part of my teen years and I still love the music she puts out, and not just as a guilty pleasure. I will most likely support her next album and go see her on tour, but I just hope she gets an attitude adjustment.
