When you say 'always irrelevant' you are insulting the portuguese people. Because, you know, before Canada and USA were countries, Portugal was on the front line on discoveries around the world. The country has an huge legacy, history and impact on modern civilization, and although it isn't make headlines today it suddently doesn't become irrelevant. Being relevant is having an history, a legacy, a cultural and artistic impact, a language. It's a shame nowadays people don't recognise history - it can teach many important things. Your missing my point. That hs absolutely no relevance to what i was talking about I was refering to todays dynamics. Im Portuguese background and Im also Canadian... Canada making some kind if headline is not that rare... But it is for Portugal. As a result, I find it kind exiting when Portugal has something on the world stage whereas if its Canada its not as special in my mind in a way Thats really what im talking about.
