REALITY 76,920
I loved that commercial, actually. I honestly don't see anything controversial about it. Looking at the comments though, the hate is mostly about how the star is Kendall Jenner, and that people think it's pretentious of Pepsi to make an ad like this essentially saying that "Pepsi will fix all the problems" Honestly though, stop getting so butthurt about it. People will find anything to complain about. It's a nice commercial that not only promotes diversity, but is very relevant for today's times. So f*cking unncessary to hate it imo. If you don't think corporations are taking advantage of the current Trump political climate and exploiting all of these social movements for gain I don't know what to tell you, and to use Kendall Jenner out of all people. lego 44,165
I can't believe I bought Pepsi today. The only good thing about the ad is Skip Marley's song. He should've been the face of Pepsi. FreePalestine
Sister 9,907
Things haven't even cooled down socially but let's make it "Barbie" with a Jenner / Kardashian and Pepsi and just "pretend" how the world could be / will be, Thanks to television and commercial products, oops, junk. It isn't far from saying that our whole daily world is all just junk being regurgitated and unsolved. Just slap a price tag and a band aid over it and move along. The cop would have actually just said or mind thought that in true life, at the end if this was a Kendall reality show, like her family life IS. The future's uncertain and the end is always near. migamiga 12,102
To those who don't understand the controversy, it's being criticized for referencing Taking A Stand In Baton Rouge where a young woman is being arrested by policemen in riot gear. Also it portrays the hero as Kendall. Sure there are people of color and other minorities present but Kendall is the one who saves the day. Also people are upset at Pepsi choosing Jenner because it's not like she's known for being an activist of any kind.
junolxf 8,654
This was so, so disgusting, tone deaf and stupid. Big corporate companies run by rich, white men want to get "woke" now and suddenly care about social injustice? They will truly exploit anything to make money. FFXSoul91 1,098
The funniest part of this is that it's working to piece off people on both sides of the Black Lives Matter debate. Good job, Pepsi!
Sister 9,907
They are all being very basic with laughing at all of us "huddled masses" little people, who have to live in the real world surviving and confronting these problems without a safety net, while at the same time, asking us to pay for their joke that is on us. Ridiculous and disgusting~ The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
Luv u Sum 2,391
Ummm what is the problem with it? Yeah it's a little campy cuz it's solving the nations problems with a can of soda but it's a wonderful message of entertainment getting involved in social issues and joining the movement but also creating a bond between the people and the special forces using something as simple as a Pepsi. Idk why people have a problem with literally everything.
