From an article I saved:

If you cut the United States military ENTIRELY and taxes all earnings over 1Million dollars at 100%… You still couldn’t pay for this…

So disregarding the fact that no wealthy people would work for free, the horrible negative economic ramifications of punishing small business owners and that frankly a 100% tax is absurd, you’ve got to find another way to generate revenue. So what do you do? Would probably have to start by widening the swath from the top 1% to increasing taxes on the top 5%. Those bastards can afford it! What defines top 5%? Any households earning $190,000 or more. Damn. I thought they’d have more. Well what if we just take almost everything from the top 10% of earners?

Top 10% in the United States is any household earnings over $150,000. Not exactly the fat cats you thought, huh? Still, for the greater good, they can afford to have more, or all of their stuff taken, right?

Well Nation Nurses United was bale to provide plenty of examples of economists that said Bernies healthcare plan was feasible.

I don't know where u got ur article from but it ain't sent in stone.

the voters get to choose, all we need is a Bernie figure that can appeal minorities and we got this in 2020.

Im not content with giving up before the fight has even begun. I want a progressive and I will support one that runs as much as possible.

Perosnally I want, Sherrod Brown to run. A super progressive senator from Ohio would be perfect.

Yeah, it's not that easy. The Democrats that have been elected in modern history have been moderates. Democrats are not going to rely on a young voter base, that won't show up to vote or won't feel "excited". That will just get us another Trump/ultra conservative. They will go back to their roots and put a moderate coalition together like in the past.

You can hope and wish for anything, it's free. :)

If this election is proven fraudulent would he even become the President. When a marriage is proven fraudulent it's as if it never existed.

Pence didn't help with the healthcare bill, and he won't be able to help any in the future. I'd rather have someone who understand diplomacy and understands why we can't nuke everyone than an orange 5 y/o. Impeach him.

Why are you ignoring the fact that the voters get to pick? It's not just the party leaders that get to pick. The idea that voters won't pick a progressive is far from certain. Bernie Sanders could've won if he did a better job with minority voters. All that a progressive needs to do is fix that problem in 2020 and they have a real shot at winning. It doesn't matter what the party leaders want, a progressive can win the primary with the right campaign.

but hey, if u wanna pretend that 2020 already happened, you can. Its also free. But let's remember everyone thought Hilary would win.

He explained how everything would be paid for.

Bernie's main proposals weren't taxes for the middle class. His college plan would be paid for by a tax on Wall Street speculation and his infrastructure program would be paid for by closing tax shelter loop holes.

His healthcare plan was gonna tax the middle class but they wouldn't have to spend on private insurance anymore, so they wouldn't be paying more. They'd be paying to the government instead of a private insurance company. Infact, by getting rid of private insurances hold on our healthcare system, they would've been paying less then now.

https://berniesanders.com/issues/medicare-for-all/

He explained, but it didn't add up. A college plan that generous was going to need state funding. That may be fine in your wealthier states, but in many states, that would mean cuts to programs that help the most compromised in that state.

His tax care plan wasn't going to pass either, for too many reasons to list here. The main one being that people with employer based systems don't want to get thrown into a system with everyone else. That's the bottom line to this whole health care issue.

At least with Pence we can have someone with political experience work on our tax code to lower the corporate tax rate from 37% to 15% (the biggest strain on small business) and work on health care.

:oprah::oprah::oprah: Please tell me you mean small businesses only. Big corporations already pay lower (12%) than law actually states, because of loopholes.

I understand the concern for business, but the economy seemed to do just fine (better) when the corporate tax rate was higher than it is even today.

Impeach him. He has no idea what he is doing and declared war on the Republican Freedom Caucus, the only reason we aren't stuck with Ryans horrible plan. He is a puppet for Bannon and Preibus. He plans on signing a bill making it legal for all internet companies to take our info and sell it to the highest bidder and is completely destroying the environment.

At least with Pence we can have someone with political experience work on our tax code to lower the corporate tax rate from 37% to 15% (the biggest strain on small business) and work on health care. We need Republican economics to continue to bring our country forward and by Trump alienating important members of the house, he is doing the opposite. We need new healthcare to bring down ridiculously high premiums destroying the middle/lower class. Unfortunately Trump has no idea how to do that. I wish I supported John Kasich/

Well, the first paragraph made me smile. I will keep my opinion on the rest to myself, because this about getting rid Trump and not about anything else. Trump needs to go, that is something we can all agree on.

Yeah, I do think that Bernie was wrong to put so much burden on the states. He should've proposed more federal spending, which could've been done.

Polling isn't as negative toward single payer as your making it.  http://knox.villagesoup.com/mobile/p/poll-most-americans-want-to-replace-obamacare-with-single-payer-including-many-republicans/1636616

Yes small businesses only. We are suffering so much, 37% is way too much, my whole family is affected by it.

There will have to be a much better plan proposed and one that convinces a large group of people to abandon their employee based systems.

Well since voters get to pick, and Bernie did well last time. We're in the running this time.

Bernies plan was actually pretty comprehensive in terms of what it would cover. It covered stuff a lot of places don't cover.
