I was very skeptical when we first got a glimpse of the new Pennywise last year, but all of my doubts have been erased after watching the trailer tbh. I know a lot of people were miffed about the change of setting from the 50's to the 80's but I feel it could work. I really do hope they flesh out the bulk of the novel more so than the mini series did. The mini series is definitely of merit and none to take away from it but with new technological effect advances, this re-adaptation of the novel could be a perfect depiction of the novel. I definitely felt the creepiness during the slideshow scene and the basement scene worked perfectly to add to the horror. I guess until future trailers or until the film itself will we be able to see Pennywise without being so menacing, he is supposed to be a clown friendly enough to trap its prey?
