I'm bored to be honest. Not of necessarily her, but I guess the era itself (at the moment).

I'm disappointed that we only got two episodes of her Making Joanne mini-series like honestly what was the point of hyping that up if you abruptly was going to end it like the rest of your projects, lol.

Bored? Nah, I'm never really bored with Gaga. I'm happy we have the album and a tour to look forward to. I dunno, I guess when you grow up like I do, you learn to live by the saying "less is more"? Could also be the fact that this woman broke her hip on stage performing for her fans because they meant so much to her. Or because this woman seriously considered leaving music forever due to being overworked and having her ideas take a back seat because greedy corporate people only seen her as a money machine. Hard to say, really.

Also, I'm from the 90's, a time when music actually took time to produce and sell. I think people are too spoiled by the way music works today; you think waiting 3 years was bad? Think of artists who have waited 10+ years to release anything. Seriously, I feel if anyone is bored, it's because they base their entire music experience on Gaga who will not deliver a basic song for the sake of having chart performance or streaming numbers like a lot of others will. Gaga isn't the only artist out there, though, broaden your horizons people.

But as always, that's just my onion.

Not too long ago it wasn't possible to follow a pop star 24/7.  It wasn't possible to monitor day to day social media posts.   People had to rely on printed ( gasp!) fan magazines if there was any at all and most of the time you had no contact with your favorite artists unless they travelled to your city for a show or what snippets you'd get out of magazines. There were fan clubs but everything happened in slow motion.

If people are bored it's because they haven't learned to find their own life yet and are expecting other people to provide the experience for them.  Part of the hazard of the "entertain me" age.

i think that gaga's commercial underperforming also has to do with whether we're bored or not of gaga

Expanding, yes. At the same time falling from the top of everything. I'd love her to have some more commercial success with another epic dance/pop album. 4 eras wasn't enough :gum:

She's not been on "the top" as far as commercial success since the early part of the BTW era. It's been six years. She's not "falling" now.

If anything she seems to be in a better position now than she was during the ARTPOP era.

Your first paragraph :applause:

The soundtrack of American Graffiti has the main 41 songs we listen to when I was a teen.  And they were from almost that many different artists.  We really didn't follow artists very much, just listened to songs.  Check out the artists for those songs here:

I'm a bit put out that she hasn't promoted more but that's it. As long as she delivers good music and a tour, I'm happy. The only way I'll get bored of an artist is if they go completely off the grid or the music stops being good. Gaga has done neither of those things, so I'm fine.

If anyone thinks she takes too long to release music, imagine being a fan of Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Lily Allen, Kate Bush. They only make albums every 4 years or so and Kate takes exceptionally long breaks between albums. None of them really do promotion either. As for touring, Christina hasn't toured since 2007 (her last 2 albums have had no tours) and Kate has only done one tour in her entire life because she hates flying (her residency show in London is the only live performance she's given her fans in well over two decades). But Gaga gives us albums every 3 years or less and gives us a tour with every album, even for the albums that don't sell amazingly. Most popstars who have an under-performing album aren't allowed to tour but she's allowed to because her team know she'll pull in money. And as for promo, she's been getting all the biggest gigs recently: Grammys, Oscars, SB, Coachella, the works. Some artists are lucky to get a slot on a talk show in their native country. So, we should really be grateful.

Yes, Gaga is not given credit for how much she does.  Those artists you mention prove that you don't have to release often to be totally amazing.  Xtina is wonderful, Madonna paved the way for those who followed, and if Kate can produce work like this, she doesn't need to tour.  She wrote and sang this song, and was the producer of this amazingly artistic video:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7TupvVpxY_U
