I don't even know the lyrics to ANY of her songs. I don'y like even just one lol Everybody knows "All I want for Christmas is U". The only song I've heard from her by the way Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince
That J 12,166
I think I play more non-singles than the hits listed here overall. But she DOES have a lot of hits to mine from so it's kind of a shame she pretty much only focuses on the same ones in her lives shows....aka the "number ones". On a side note, the first 50(ish) seconds and very end of Can't Let Go has that Mariah sound I miss so much. ....and my love to "Petals", one of my eternal fave non singles. StrawberryBlond 14,613
It's amazing how she's had all those hits and sold all those albums. She sure kept going for a long time, even maintaining some relevancy in her 40's. But these days, all the new generation really knows is her Christmas song, it's the only time of year when anyone outside her fanbase truly cares about her. And oh, how her fanbase has dwindled. I think refusing to change her style in her 26 years of fame really took its toll on her following. Her style is so dated now, yet she insists on doing the same thing over and over, hoping it'll lead to a hit and it hasn't worked for nearly a decade now. 2 hours ago, KingOfSpain said: I don't understand how she could snatch all those #1's. She's always been an artist that has never stepped out of her comfort zone. It's admirable that she sticks to her guns in the face of the changing music industry but come on, she has never evolved her music the slightest bit, not even experimenting within her own genre. That disco inspired Glitter album wouldn't exist had it not been for the movie it came from. I can't get over how she was such a big deal in America but outside there, no one particularly cared for her, except Japan. This is what I say to some Americans who think that just because a celebrity is big in their country that it automatically means the whole world knows or cares about them. It's still weird to think that happens, though. I mean, I understand why foreign acts singing in foreign languages can have hits in their native countries that I don't know about but when it's an English language artist being big in a Westernised country, you'd think Europe and Oceania would be a bit more responsive.
