And they (RedOne and Gaga) tried to do it again with Judas, but they failed (chart-wise). The verses-chorus-bridge-etc structures are similar. Melodies and chords are very alike as well. That's not something only Gaga has done. Listen to Britney's first albums: basically every song is the same lmao http://gagadaily.com/forums/topic/227246-ceremony-gagas-videography-megarate/

There's video footage of them joking around about that but nonetheless calling it a hit, 'Uptown Funk 2.0' etc. Anyways. I don't know why that member is still grasping onto those 8 songs. It's not going to make them leak any faster. OT; Go MR go! I think you're taking that a bit too seriously, I don't think she made A-Yo purely so it could smash, she would have made an urban influenced pop song with a rapper if she wanted that. She loved Uptown Funk and she wanted a song like that and she joked about how it's gonna be her huge Uptown Funk with her friends. was NickARTPOP

Not even sorry lmao. Mark Ronson has produced 19 and 21 by Adele, Back To Black by Amy Winehouse, Back To Basics by Christina Aguilera... He definitely knows how to make hit songs. We got what we got. They obviously didn't wanted smashes. Still wondering why but whatever. http://gagadaily.com/forums/topic/227246-ceremony-gagas-videography-megarate/

Don't come for SLA-YO And to be fair I think the reason his work with other people were successful is because he produced the kind of songs the GP expected from them (besides of being great ofc)

No I think she genuinely wanted to make a song like that for the sake of being a hit. However, Gaga doesn't sell out. So obviously she wouldn't do the rent a rapper route with some faux midtempo minimalist speak song type of song that's popular. A lot of the stuff she does regarding her music isn't as clear cut and black and white. She wants success but she wants it her way and on her terms. And that is in no way a bad thing. She did that with The Fame and she's going the same route with Joanne. It's not a bad thing but I really wish the dialogue fans are pushing that she doesn't care about success or hits isn't a thing. She cares about her artistry and her success.

She cares about her artistry and her success. And as a side point we really have to agree that she has success with Joanne. The album is one of the best selling albums of the year, if I'm not mistaken the best selling female album of 2017, she has a platinum single. I think it's fair to say she made the album her way and on her terms and she made it successful, just like she wanted. It's always stans who think she could/should/must do more in order to smash, while in reality she really doesn't.

She creates the work and then works hard to make sure people are hearing it. I love that about her.
Denys 848
Ayo wasn't created to be uptown funk 2.0, they sound nothing alike. Gaga only joked abt it cos mark was asking her to do smth I can't remember, same way she could have joked with redone abt bad romance or on the floor
