With the information from @SergenGokdag, the week before the discount happened, the gross profit for the song was around 41k $ (gross profit again, nothing is divided for anyone). After the discount, and the rise, the profit (if it continues to sell at this rate) is gonna be a little over 42k $. So you basically need to rise A LOT in order to actually profit from the discount, and they probably payed a lot to discount it.
