Actually, I can agree with that but they would really have to re work some of the lyrics.

I would be fine if they did. Make the song even more generic by removing references of masturbation would definitely go over better with radio. That way there would also be two versions for sales (album and radio version) that could also help

it has reggaeton/Latin influences

Also has Middle Eastern influences.  I didn't realize it until I listened to the instrumental.

Anyone who compares DIC to GUY is clueless tbh. Nowhere near the same situation. DWUW killed Gaga's radio power. Its callout scores were awful and was dropped 10x faster than it peaked. Meanwhile she took a two month break before releasing GUY, which felt so out of place that no station in their right mind would've touched it.

DIC is easy on the ears, pleasant vocals, a trendy/current beat, generic lyrics, and would be released at a time when Gaga is on the upswing in popularity, GP friendliness, and radio play.

Is that true?

How?

I'm shook, I wasn't here back then and everyone I know loves the song and I was in the impression that it was universally liked + it had ~90M AI on radio when it peaked .....

Betty Who will have a top 15 pure sales album this week but will only end up top 50 on BB200.  Lol

Zara Larson will sell less than the top 50 pure sales albums but will probably end up Top 40 on the Bb200.

Gotta love streaming!

DWUW killed her radio power? LOL

Callout scores were fine for a song that had a mix of pop and a rap verse. That was NOT what hurt her on radio.

More like Judas and MTN.

DWUW was an easy Top 5 hit in the making if she didn't self sabotage with that whole video fiasco.

Thats almost like saying Judas is what made BTW debut with 1M copies. :air: So inaccurate
