Its callout scores were awful and was dropped 10x faster than it peaked. Meanwhile she took a two month break before releasing GUY, which felt so out of place that no station in their right mind would've touched it. DIC is easy on the ears, pleasant vocals, a trendy/current beat, generic lyrics, and would be released at a time when Gaga is on the upswing in popularity, GP friendliness, and radio play. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's very little chance she would ever perform an AP song ever again. It still sold fine, like it's nothing to scoff at, and did produce a solid hit for her, although Applause has 0 recurrent airplay and is pretty much forgotten by the GP.
