But MR is overall also doing worse than her previous singles and everyone praises it for its success. If we say MR is a hit song, then CTTR is a smash. Let's not be hypocritical

Well people still think Gaga shall have that kind of succes and call her a flop when she is doing ok on charts with songs like Applause/DWUW and MR. I guess the same kind of people except katy to have that kind of succes otherwise she is also flopping. I know it's wrong but some people just have to damn high exceptions

ofc we praise mr since we were coming from Pi and G.U.Y, ther were like no hope left for gaga to have a hit again. Now MR have a peak close to her biggest hits and have spent time on the charts almost as long as them. MR is also a sale force in today's industry and became a raido hit after the superbowl, with the possibility to get her higest peaks ever on HAC and AC. So ofc we class it as a hit, since it is.

The thing that is holding mr back on the hot 100 is the lack of streaming that can be explained on lack of spotify playlist and also the video could been better. If the format for hot 100 was the same as a few years ago MR would have spent alot more weeks in the top 10 and likely peaked higher then 4.

People from anglosaxon countries always say on GGD and Twitter it's a bad song because of the lyrics, but every European monster I know think it's one of the best in ARTPOP. I do. People whose first language is not English don't really focus on the lyrics actually, that's what I mean.

I never said that we shoudn't be happy about MR's success. But then we can't mock Katy for CTTR's performance, which is a lot better

Our country is Germany and PI peaked at #31 and fell off the charts after 2 weeks. MR had one week in the charts at #85

No one knows those songs here  (and in France it's basically the same)

I think it is like when they called Applause and ARTPOP flops but single and the album were actually pretty succesful
