You need to look at the bigger picture. I recommend Jordan B. Peterson, heĀ unpacksĀ how these authoritative legislations could lead to problems with our Charter of Rights and Freedom. A religion/ideologyĀ shouldn't be sequestered from criticism and people shouldn't be enforced by lawĀ to use made up pronouns where there are just as many pronouns as there are humans, apparently. I mean, not by a landslide.. but maybe 52%? Sweden is also a mess now Ā our naziparty is the 2nd biggest party in Sweden now according to statics. Transgenders are a minority, they deserveĀ protections as they often are victims of incomprehensions. The amendmentsĀ that are going to be made in the canadian charter are good and will help prevent discrimination against those people from the state (as the charter only applies to public parties and not private parties)Ā - just like it already does with sex, race and so on. As for the criminal code modification it is long overdue that they take his factor into consideration because no one should be discriminated or be the victim of hateful crimes. As for the motion, i stand by it for the same reasons. Hate speech is so subjective, though. A motion in Canada is trying to make criticizing the Islamic religion a hate speech, which is ridiculous.
