#6 - Survival

Highest Rate: 11 @Thomas P

Lowest Rate: 3 @androiduser

Comments:

Beautiful opener to Madonna's best and one of her most accomplished works, Bedtime Stories. I love the production, the vocals, the melody, the Live To Tell reference, this is the perfect 'zone-out' song for me, the whole album is tbh. When I'm not feeling much social I can turn this record on and zone out, be with myself, Survival is so beautiful. - @Antonio

One of the album's best bops in my opinion; lyrically, the song is strong, and sort of delves into Madonna's mindset following the LAP and Erotica eras. It's got a dash of new jack swing but more importantly, has that 90's R&B flavor that we will see elsewhere on the album. - @jujubae

The opening track is Madonna's responce to those who dared to condemned her because of her modern ideas. She was always coping with criticism but this is her victory. Her survival is printed in this track while giving out the vibe of this album.  - @Dr Evil

- Great album opener, love the opening line 'I'll never be an angel, I'll never be a saint it's true'... Madonna girl, you can say that again, we know for damn sure you're no angel  - @boobtank

A beautiful and soft song that really sets the tone of the album. It also deeply reflects her struggles with criticism from Erotica.  - @shoful

An amazing opener to this very sweet flavoured yet scathing album, which perfectly sumarizes the struggle Madonna was being put through in the times she had been recording this album. The lyrics showcase her strength and give us a little taste of sarcasm and criticism while the song itself is just sweet janet-esque pop/r&b, so, it's the substantiation of the album's concept, getting her message across using melodic and easy to listen pop, which she's a master at. Having this said, it's not exactly a highlight from the album, as it actually gets too sweet, but it does its purpose of opening this amazing album. - @Johny Wayne
