The Hague: 27,2% -> 34,5% Groningen: 32% -> 37,7% I think turnout might be higher than 80% especially bigger cities are doing good. Long lines in train stations. Hide contents Sorry for my naivity already... The foreign media has greatly exaggerated things. Populism is not a danger here. Dutch elections can't be "won". In relation to 2012 elections, turnout is down in Delfshaven, Hillegersberg-Schiebroek and Noord while it's doing much better in Feijenoord and Centrum. I think DENK is failing to get minorities to vote like PvdA used to. Feijenoord doing so well is good for populist and left-wing parties. Centrum is good for progressive parties. The kind of parliamentary system we have in Norway (and I assume the dutch system is somewhat similar) is a lot more stable than the american system. Our own right-wing populist party is actually one of the governing parties right now, and it's not really a big problem. They're not big enough to form a government on their own (they're not even the biggest party), so they have formed a government with regular conservatives. I can't imagine a right-wing populist party (or any other party) ever getting half the votes, so for the foreseeable future, this is how it's going to be.
