Biophilia is my least fave as well.  I have to say, I was part of the meltdown post-Medulla.  I was desperately on the fence with Volta as well.  A handful of songs that I give attention to but I was floored with the photography and aesthetic of the album more than the music as well.

Thank god we had Vulnicure, that was cute :diane:

This thread and all your responses make me happy. It excites me to see Bjork fans come into one place.

Homogenic isn't just the best Bjork album, but also the best album I know. Words aren't enough to describe how divine it is.

Homogenic > Vespertine > Post

I simply love her to death.

I admire Selmasongs even if it was curated for a film.

Me too. It's lovely and works as a stand-alone album, even though the film is great too. DR9 is interesting as well.

I love Volta too, it is really underrated

Volta as a concept i think works brilliantly. It's not easy to listen to, but everything fits.

Funnily i think Bjork has been way more successful in putting the "art" into "pop".

My first experience with her music was Biophilia and I was blown away! Voted for Homogenic, tho, that album is a masterpiece.

Tbh I'm just happy that this thread has so many replies, I didn't know there were so many Bjork fans on GGD.

I'm showing my age here, but my first Bjork experience was hearing The Sugarcubes Life's Too Good lp back in'88. Songs like Birthday, Motorcrash, Coldsweat, Delicious Demon...I mean they all sound so fresh today even. I chose Debut, because I really have a hard time getting into the rest of her catalog. I give her credit though for always trying new things.

well Homogenic is super experimental as well that's the album when Björk's sound REALLY changed...I mean have you heared Pluto

Yeah that's very experimental as well but in a different way... still enjoyable by a lot of people who are not exactly into this type of music... I mean Jóga, Bachelorette, AIFOL, Unravel, Alarm Call, are among her most well known songs. Medùlla is way way more experimental and some songs can be kinda off putting at a first listen. (I'm so glad you mentioned Pluto cause it's probably one of my favorite Bjork songs <3)

I love all the Sugarcubes stuff. I think Water is my favourite.
