spanishmonster 11,002
Hello I'm Fran, admin of the website Lady Gaga Spain. First of everything, I wanted to say thank you for listen our problem. Yesterday, our twitter account (@ladygagaspain) was reported four times by the IFPI (International Federation of the Phonographic Industry). This is so sad because we work by and for Lady Gaga and her Spanish fans. We are a fan club created more than eight years ago and with almost 30K followers. These were the 4 tweets reported by that company which is a Universal Music customer. - https://twitter.com/LadyGagaSpain/status/791836547985399808 - https://twitter.com/LadyGagaSpain/status/791834967961640960 - https://twitter.com/LadyGagaSpain/status/790100845631250432 - https://twitter.com/LadyGagaSpain/status/790962143889858561 Each tweet has a video that was published in its day by Lady Gaga on her Snapchat and Instagram and we, like hundreds of fan accounts, what we did was to upload those videos in our social networks so all the Spanish followers could have access to them. We translate the videos so people who dont know English could understand it. We have spoken with IFPI and they do not understand that we only reuploaded what Lady Gaga posted by herself: videos which the music heard in the background we do not have the right to post. Consequently, they will not withdraw the reports and our account will not be reactivated again, so all eight years' work is in the trash right now. We have not been the only ones to be reported but it is possible that the only ones that have our account deactivated. We do not think we've done anything wrong, or with bad intentions. I think that we've never had any problems but it seems that this year that a 10-20 sec of Lady Gaga music is shared on the networks bothers them so bad. We do not understand that these kinds of "rights-watchers" are so clumsy in doing these things because we, like ALL Lady Gaga fans, share little pieces of her material that benefit both Lady Gaga and all the companies around her. This is good for her and Universal Music. By sharing her music on twitter or Facebook, she will reach new people. Finally I just wanted to ask one last thing: publish this tweet to try to reach Lady Gaga or someone of her team and can help us to get our account back: "Please @IFPI_org remove the reports to @LadyGagaSpain. This does not benefit Lady Gaga. You are hurting her" or something like that. Thank you so much and big hug - @Admin buy stupid love on itunes
Edonis 28,950
That sucks. I've seen a lot of fan accounts suspended or having their tweets removed because of copyrights, but, it seems more apparent these days I wonder why they're cutting down on these things so hard recently. Maybe they want to stop pirating? But her snapchat/Instagram videos? That's weird.
BoomKack 6,590
My account @GagaMagazineUK got suspended the other day too because of IFPI. You need to submit a DMCA Counter-Notice (google it, you'll find templates for writing one) and send it to [email protected] It'll take about 10 days for the account to get unsuspended
