JustAnotherDay 8,402
Regardless of commercial success, which song would you rather have had as a the second single? Which song would you rather have Gaga perform and promote over the last couple of months was NickARTPOP
REALITY 77,931
I was so disappointed when her and her team decided to switch A-YO and MR, so, I would have liked it if they still stuck with A-YO as the second single. That being said, I love MR too. 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔲𝔰𝔦𝔠'𝔰 𝔤𝔬𝔫𝔫𝔞 𝔟𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔪𝔢 𝔟𝔞𝔠𝔨 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔥
RonnieGagz 4,300
A-yo But it's too late to release it Now ♡Gaga♡TØP♡Nightwish♡Lana♡Lorde♡Grimes♡
Gaga Monster 13,001
A Yo is too rock. Gaga tried rock with PI and it flopped and alienated radios/streaming. MR is finally improving her relations with radios so I am going to go with the top 5 hit, MR GGD Presidential Elections

plasticalice 2,224
Million Reasons. A-YO gave us some great live performances, but the studio version is SO TRAGIC! I don't think I could deal with a whole single that is pretty much unlistenable to me.

The country guitar is 100% un radio friendly, radio does not like that type of music or sounds. It is way to loud and raw. They like ballads and pop beats (MR and DIC). She finally repaired her relationship with radio, why ruin it with this song? GGD Presidential Elections
Luke78619 23,467
Million reasons, if AYO had as many performances as MR I think it would've annoyed me after a while can't listen to it constantly without getting a little tired unlike MR insta: good_lukeing | I have nothing else to promote
Jenina 15,096
A-No thank you I really dislike that song and Million Reasons is a song that is so extremely powerful and anyone can relate to it cool

The OP explicitly stated, "Regardless of commercial success". This has nothing to do with whether or not A-YO would have done well—which I believe it would, but that's a completely different conversion. The question was, which song would you have rather her promote/perform these past few months? 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔲𝔰𝔦𝔠'𝔰 𝔤𝔬𝔫𝔫𝔞 𝔟𝔯𝔦𝔫𝔤 𝔪𝔢 𝔟𝔞𝔠𝔨 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔡𝔢𝔞𝔱𝔥
Blueskye 1,087
In the classic case of the Interscope 2nd single switcheroo, the first choice always was the best choice. And their lack of confidence and constant single switching just proves they have no idea what they're doing. Switching singles because the iTunes chart says so is moronic. WildAmerican 13,672
What's the point of this thread? MR is a hit, and we have no idea if AYO would do any better, so why wouldn't everyone pick MR?

Radio does not like country or rock sounds that A YO has. It is too raw for radio. It doesnt have a chance at being a hit.Radio finally is playing her, this will continue to alienate radio and streaming GGD Presidential Elections
