I wouldn't say it was deserved though, he hasn't exactly progressed as an artist and even admitted that he listens to his label more than his own artistic expression. Oh sorry, I understand your post now I knew someone would throw the Adele card at me, I can't argue with that one I think it's genuinely just because it's a "threat" to Gaga's achievement. It doesn't make sense really and it's pretty juvenile. It's as shame because this fascination with "artistry" and "real music" is completely fabricated by Gaga and fans to justify any unsuccessful endeavours. Whether music is written for the charts or not it doesn't matter. Music is meant to be enjoyed, it's not war, it's pop music.
