I understand the hate against Ed but Taylor has literally done nothing wrong and her music is great. Joanne is not half as good as 1989 :emma:

Please. Joanne is twice better than 1989. 1989 is so bland and generic.

I'd probably say Beyonce's the most famous woman, with Adele and Taylor and Kim Kardashian behind her  I don't see the big deal in any of what he's said here though :duck: Totally agree that she can't make the decision to not be in the press, as with anyone who's super famous :laughga:

The fact that it's pure pop doesn't make it bland or generic. The songwriting is top-notch in both lyrics and melodies that keep the album from bein basic or bland or generic..There is no filler on the album.. The album is successful at both being emotional and fun. The fact that it's very pop doesn't make it generic or bland. It has personality in it.

Joanne barely has any GREAT songs in it.(Million Reasons is like the only song on the album that is great).,has a few good-catchy decent songs (DH,DIC,Ayo and maybe JW) and has like 1-2 decent other ballads (Angel Down,Joanne). The rest of the album is not listenable to me anymore

I seriously think you are incapable of appreciating great music. I'm fine that you think 1989 is great, I don't hate the album, I think there are some bops in it, and the promotion executed for the album is great. But labelling Joanne as mediocre or 'lacking great songs' is just inaccurate and if what, indicates your inability to recognise talent and outstanding musical performance. It's one of the few unique and distinct pop albums released in a few years which is composed of real instrument as opposed to keyboard and which comprises of minimum editing to top-notch vocals as delivered by Gaga.

Million Reasons is one of the highlights. The songs which make the album outstanding are the ones which you omitted to mention, Come to Mama, Sinner's Prayer, Hey Girl (especially this one which is so retro in its production that SO MANY fans fail to appreciate), Just Another Day and Grigio Girls. These are songs which you don't find many pop stars or contemporary producers make today. They are the production of producers which think out of the box ala Father John Misty and Mark Ronson and Gaga herself.

The songs which you called 'decent' and 'catchy' are the ones which are actually conventional dance bops which Gaga included in the album because of you fans who fail to evolve with her and her creativity. Don't get me wrong, I love those songs that are John Wayne, Dancin' in Circles, Diamond Heart and Perfect Illusion, I'm just saying they are conventional bops which are albeit still distinct from the ones made by her contemporaries (those Dr. Luke, Max Martin productions), but are relatively easier to listen to and accept.

Please evolve.

1)Having real instruments instead of digital music doesn't make the music itself any better.. Gaga has pretty good vocals in the album too. The thing is that THE SONGS are not well-written or interesting or unique or rich enough.

2)The fact that something released today belongs in an old musical trend doesn't make it any better. Grigio girls,Come To Mama,Just Another Day are "retro" and not very 2017 but the songwriting itself is not great imo. Come To Mama has amazing verses but I find the chorus very weak. The other 2 songs have nothing strong in them..

I listen to msuic that is way more experimental and unique than Gaga's music so it's not me not appreciating the change she did. It's that she didn't do the experimentation well enough imo. Btw I find Perfect Illusion VERY bad so I don't know why you metnioned it.. The feeling that the album gives me is that Gaga did an absolutely meretricious experimentation.

I said that my opinion is not as personal as he might thinks. At least read before trying to be sarcastic

All I read was opinions which are non-sensical and inaccurate. If 'unique', 'interesting' and 'rich' are the qualities which you seek, you should be complimenting Hey Girl, Come to Mama, Sinner's Prayer, Grigio Girls and Just Another Day, not Dancin' in Circles, John Wayne and Diamond Heart, which are great bops, but more conventional and basic as compared to the former ones. This is a contradiction of yours.
