DeleteMyAccount 11,881
Okay, but why do people still find Oklahoma an okay place to live?... Obviously the students deserve to go wherever and be treated fairly, but I'm just not surprised by the ignorance. Oklahoma is literally middle-Murica'. imnotyourbabe10 6,120
America (and perhaps the "West" in general) has always had tumultuous social interaction for some reason (through socialization to the norms of capitalism/racism/and all the other isms and phobias)...I come from a social science background and offer this article up...it's hard for me to accept that this is perhaps why--because educating oneself or being a decent, non-judgmental human being shouldn't be difficult... http://www.businessinsider.com/sociology-alternative-facts-2017-2 Also: anti-intellectualism is relevant, too (I think!) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-intellectualism These days (as much as I'm about community and sociality and breaking the system) I am focusing on myself and work one day at a time (easier said than done and it feels selfish sometimes, which I hate!)...but I'm also resisting via protests and educating myself and others on the micro level....stay strong out there, all! "It's a fired up world!"
