Anderson123 38,582
I understand why though. Ed Sheeran's album has great lyrics, very relatable and personal. BUT I like Starboy way more, I've been listening to it since it came out and I love it, the concept, the colors, his voice, etc. I can see both of these albums getting nominated at the Grammys next year. Fishnet Sinner 99
I guess didn't realize he was a jerk/had an ego problem. I also admittedly never really knew he was so popular. He has a couple cool songs and a gigantic, poorly done, lion tattoo. If they GP loves him, let them have him.

BlaqJezus 1,027
Couple of things on this one: One, Ed Sheeran is a really good song writer and musician. His "lack of stage presence" is not a thing. His tours have been very successful on the notion that he plays and sings mostly on his own the entire time. He isn't a dancer, never has been, never will be. That doesn't mean he doesn't have stage presence, he does very much so. Two, he has been acting like an ass lately, talking himself up and being boastful and self-involved, but at the same time, he had a rough time before he hit it big. A lot of people said he wouldn't be famous, he couldn't ever write a decent song, and the music industry seemed disinterested in him from the start, but he fought that while creating his first album, and has showed them that they don't define him as an artist. BUT, what I think needs to happen, is he needs to realize that people who like his music, not everyone out there is the enemy, he has done well, needs to bask in that, but stay humble towards the people who treat him well and enjoy his music and musicianship. Basically he needs to learn the difference between when people who never liked him are listening, and when people who enjoy his work are listening, and choose his message to both a little better. TeenIdle 126,607
Why such narcissistic people like Ed and The Chainsmokers are always on top? I was tired of hearing Beyonce's name but now I prefer it. 𝖓𝖊𝖜 𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖎𝖔𝖓
