Yep- She's been slaying iTunes, it's #15 right now and #18 on Spotify US. A hit.

She is already not an "one-hit wonder" :lolly: Team is one of the biggest radio hits of the last years (and it went x4 platinum). Her album went x3 platinum in the US. Yellow Flicker Beat also went top 40. This song will debut at least inside the top 15. She might lose her "mainstream" power but she will never be an one hit wonder. (She still be huge in Canada,Australia,New Zealand anyways)

I think they meant so early on in her career tbh if she has a flop single now it would of been like if bad romance flopped for gaga

The difference is that Gaga made straight up pop music made for the radio. Lorde can be "flop" in the mainstram charts/radio and still have a long career. Look at Lana for example. She practically has only 1 hit but she is actually pretty relevant and her career is fine

I like her song, I just cringed a bit in a part: "but you don't judge me, cause if you do, baby I would judge you too." RjIGLep.gif

PS: oh it got a baby, a certified hit then QazAqKk.png

Yeah. It may sound stupid, but not everything is about sales. Lorde will survive.

No, Lana's sales keep decreasing drastically with every album.

You think when the fame and the fame monster came out it sounded like anything on the radio? I remember when I first hear br and thought it was gonna flop cuz I never heard a song like that on the radio and yes she will still have a career I love lana and I actually like that she has like a non mainstream career but lana was never like lorde status big and of course lorde will always have a career I'm just talking about being very big and main stream like she was with her first album

That doesn't happen because she doesn't have top 10 hits.It happens because she gives 0 ****s. Her music gets more alternative and weird for the general public every time and she hasn't promoted herself on TV for YEARS

Lana sold MANY million albums with Born To Die though.More than Pure Heroine did actually

Well she keeps releasing indie artsy pop music. Born To Die was her most mainstream album.

But it doesn't change the fact that she became a fad. Sure, she makes not mainstream music, but this is not an excuse. Royals is more alternative than the whole BTD, but it slayed the charts.

Both those albums sold 1 million albums. I'm pretty sure more people have heard of lorde than lana tho. In like 2013 lorde was like one of the most popular artists. I'm not talking about sales though green light is still in the top 10 on iTunes I'm just saying if she wants to continue to pick up where she left off from

I'm pretty sure that Green Light is going to be a massive radio hit. Look at its updates
