nattuggla 21,721
DIC reminds me a lot of these songs from Ace of Base (they were huge in europe in the 90s). Also Alejandro had these vibes (and it was a hit in europe). Hence I would say the europeans would love this sound and it could chart well here..... Of course the explicit lyrics are another story. It might not work in US but nobody cares about explicit lyrics in the non-english speaking european countries. But I am fine if they release A-YO in US because it is much safer. And if anything smashes in Europe, u almost 100% get Africa and parts of Asia and trust me America would come on board after a while. rockabye tease
viniferrett 16,683
Gaga has to play safe rn DIC is not the safest choice, it either becomes a huge smash or the second "Slumber Party" A-YO, Hey Girl and even Joanne are safer

Hey girl is not only boring, but it is also repetitive. It would be Gaga's worst single choice ever, at least for the USA. Judas, GUY and Perfect Illusion say hi Please listen to Issues by Julia Michaels that is doing GREAT on Spotify.

Judas was still a top 10 hit and the issue with the latter two is that gaga did not promote the singles as much as she could.
PanPikus 9,879
Sinner's Prayer for 3rd single - in DiveBarTour style. Huge hit. Other songs can hide. SP will smash. I'm not even joking. Very good lyrics and good rythm. Very safe choice. People will sing it in churches and use it instead of confession. Sinner's Prayer will change people lives. #Sinner'sPrayerMy3rdSingle Na Wojtusia z popielnika, iskiereczka mruga, chodź opowiem Ci bajeczkę, bajka będzie długa... JPM 781
MR peaked and is almost dead as of now. I really believed in the song but it's time to move on. Third single won't be a success, I hope they film a video at least.

Judas went top10 just because she was huge in 2011 and the song had a general very bad reaction. GUY is a bad song and wouldn't have peaked in the Top 50 not even with a SuperBowl performance. PI is just not first single material.

Drin Lon 7,875
Can I just say that every song will flop if it's not managed well I love DiC and to send a clean version to radios would not be a big deal. They kind of did that with Alejdandro, a lot of stations were playing a version without the intro, so yeah... If we're talking about playing it safe Gaga should release A-Yo in the US, Hey Girl in the UK, and DiC in Europe/the rest of the world That being said I'd love if they hot tracked A-Yo, DiC and maybe Hey Girl on iKoons and see which goes higher, to have an idea which song is liked more by the GP Oh, and Interscope better have some cakes ready cause NO SINGLE that will be released will really take off on radio without payola, and we NEED radio

Considering it's still at the #40s in the pure sales chart it's save to assume that the album is being carried by physical sales anyway 50 minutes ago, viniferrett said: Gaga has to play safe rn DIC is not the safest choice, it either becomes a huge smash or the second "Slumber Party" A-YO, Hey Girl and even Joanne are safer Honestly, releasing DIC would be playing it safe. It's the most generic song of the album, releasing another song that sounds nothing like whats on the radio would be a bigger risk. PS: DIC sounds nothing like Ace of Base, y'all are tone deaf. I love Ace Of Base and DIC. Like I said in europe nobody would care about these lyrics as many people here try to claim. The european market is not as prudish as the US market. There were other songs with very explicit lyrics which became hits! And Gaga could do a clean version if she wants to.
