I don't know. Shake It Off had great longevity and sold a lot during 2015 and almost all of Blank Space's sales were from 2015.

People forget that Australians and Kiwi's get the songs a good 12 hours before the rest of the world, release there at midnight and then labels panic about the music possibly leaking/spreading into countries where it has not been released yet. So they rush the song out in order to not miss any potential sales, regardless of chart position. Happened with Lorde and Green Light.
