That's gonna be the case for this whole album. It is very "American",  musically. The country/folk roots in certain songs aren't going to catch on in Europe. Unless your Ed Sheeran of course. They love their locals!

The album is too country for Europe, true, but Perfect Illusion is pop/rock and MR  is a great pop ballad, she could have promoted them a lot more in mainland Europe but she  haven't, so sales are lower this time.

She still could sing MR at the Eurovision Song Contest! :lolly: I bet the GP would be here for it!

EXACTLY, all the BtW singles  were perfect except judas. Scheiße should've been the second single if they wanted something by redone and experimental. OTherwise , TEOG should have been the second

I still believe VENUS should have been the second single and DWUW the third.

speaking of TEOG ..it was performed here in Philippines before announcing the Pinoy Big Brother Grand Winners and its very ICONIC..VERY good song for the FINALE..

OT: just heard MR in radio 📻 ..slay a bit i think..

iHeartAwards are a big deal for artists, right? Katy, Ed and The Chainsmokers are there. And Rihanna made a video to thank them.

It's an irrelevant awards show, but I suppose it helps your relationship with radio stations.

Single choices apply to charts, are not off topic, and completely valid to talk about here, stop saying otherwise.

It's so, so, strange to see Lorde and KP flop a bit.

I was so utterly convinced at the start of the year that their comebacks would just dominate everything in pop culture.

Way more shocked about Katy not doing so well, Lorde really only had one memorable  hit
