The album is too country for Europe, true, but Perfect Illusion is pop/rock and MR is a great pop ballad, she could have promoted them a lot more in mainland Europe but she haven't, so sales are lower this time. It's an irrelevant awards show, but I suppose it helps your relationship with radio stations.
