this is so sweet! this is what my mom has said to me since i was born. its like our secret thing "i love you to the moon & back."

off topic: also i really enjoy all your posts & your emotional analysis you always do of LG. its always spot on & i can really relate to the maternal bond you always speak of (lost my own).

Awww . My bio mom was bipolar and it affected her ability to raise my sisters and I so she wasn't ever there for us. There's a song called "family portrait" by Pink and there's a line that says "in our family portrait we look pretty happy. Let's play pretend. Let's act like it comes naturally". It's funny how music mirrors life. To everyone else we were the picture perfect family with 3 kids and a golden retriever but there were dark secrets underneath the surface. My bio mom had her issues and my dad didn't know how to deal with my mom so he just worked a lot. I cut off contact with my bio mom when I left for college because I couldn't handle it emotionally anymore.

My little sister was 10 when I left for college and I've always secretly wondered if she resented me for leaving her with our sick mom. We're incredibly close and she says she doesn't resent me but I always wonder if she secretly does. My bio mom has slowly worked her way back into my life and while I'll always love her and I'll always care for her when she gets older, she isn't really "mom" to me because she wasn't there when I needed her. Giving birth doesn't make someone a mother. Being a mother is all about the little things that shape who your child is. Gaga is the closest thing I've ever had to a "mom". She was there when no one else was ♥️

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

wayyy better than dope. also i don't know if i've ever seen a more empathetic, honest, loving person alive than lady gaga.

The humanness of this performance is astounding.  At 39:30 into this, Gaga removes all the trappings of an entertainer and puts herself before you as a person; no wig, a plain shirt.  Then she explains and performs Swine, then she explains and performs IWBWY.  The section starts at 39:30

I live outside the space time continuum.

I forgot the realness the was the Swinefest. It is interesting  how it foreshadows the Joanne era. I just wish she had performed "I Wanna Be With You" at my ArtRave (Chicago) but she probably would have broken down. TRUE DEDICATED PERFORMER.

There's a poem called "I love you to the moon and back" that an adoptive mom had written for her adopted newborn. My daughter says it reminds her of gaga and monsters because the bond we share is truly incredible. We didn't grow in her womb but we grew in her heart. Her love for her monsters is just as strong and fierce as if we came from her womb. They say that the bond between a mama and her baby is the most powerful bond in the world because your baby is the only one who knows what your heart sounds like from the inside. Sometimes her heart beats loud enough to hear outside the womb ♥️. She truly does love her monsters
