Maybe she actually is the female Michael Jackson :koons:

Spoiler

*scrubs fingers vigorously with steel wire for typing that*

When Michael dropped Invincible in Oct. of 2001 everyone called it a failure but it sold 360,000 copies in its first week and by Jan. of 2002, it had already gone platinum twice...so yeah...Katy, ha Invincible era :spin:

Too soon to tell, the song has just been released and it's on its second week. You guys think everything is a "flop" if it doesn't debut at #1 and sells a billion copies.

I wish my faves would have such a floppage. A top 4 single and decent streaming. :laughga:

I don't think its a flop TBH since it did start at #4 and is still in the top ten !! That being said I feel like katy's music re-defined the meaning/importance I give to radio hits. What i mean is that now, as much as I want gaga's singles to be HITSS, i'm realizing that it doesn't mean much anymore.. I like katy perry but even though she's had many recent hits w/roar, dark horse, etc, I don't respect her nearly as much as I respect gaga and that goes the SAME for most of my friends who haven't "heard" of gaga in a long time ! :classy:

I'm telling you, 4th albums are cursed for pop girls.

Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney....

Didn't Britney's fourth do better than her third though...

In terms of singles I think yes but not in terms of sales.

I remember when that album came out. Everyone at my high school was singing Butterfly...  :flop:
