I think whenever an animal dies it should be done both ethically and sustainably. Fur can be farmed responsibly, just like meat can- and in the situations where it is I don't have a problem with it.

Absolutely, it always it is when it comes to ethics.

There are fur farms which let the animals live in great conditions and harvest the fur after a long life. It's not optimal for the fur and it's not cheap (which is why I think faux alternatives are so much better considering they can be just as good), but it's just as ethical in my opinion as meat farming (which of course is a whole other topic whether you agree to it or not).

I even read about these fur makers somewhere in Europe who collected bunny fur from pet owners who brushed their pets, collected the naturally shredded hair and managed to make it into usable fur for the fashion industry- which bypassed the need to kill animals all together.

I'm plant-based, Katy Perry makes a shoe line with fur and/or leather, you guys freak tf out.

People eat meat and animal products that also have an unreal amount of cruelty behind them, organic or not, and no one blinks an eye.

I don't see what the big deal is in all honesty, it's just more animals dying for not very necessary reasons, I had the same reaction with Azealia chicken situation. Katy remains unbothered, if anything, PETA and some other vegans will drag her but that's it.

After thought: I'm not saying fur isn't cruel (it would incredible of fur production stopped) but this situation is about money, not ethics, she doesn't care and neither will a majority of people.

I'm against fur, I don't care if it's Gaga, Rihanna, Beyoncé, or whoever is wearing it, it's wrong. However, I think they usually look very glamorous and good, but what the **** is this mess? Not only it's ugly af, but making a shoe shaped like a bunny, with real bunny fur, and trying to make it something cute is pretty disturbing.

I don't really get why fur is bad tbh. it's not like we're hunting these animals and making them go extinct. if it was like..wild alligator skin or elephant tusk that's not good for the environment. But if you're gonna raise animals on a farm just for the fur....you do you.
