Queen of payola for making hit. And also thanks to Grammy. And also thanks to annoying radio for forced it to our ears eventhough less people buy it. Sad

It's sad how streaming is more important than sales nowadays, the charts are really losing their value...

Anyway, I consider the position to be underwhelming since it had massive promo, spotify deal, radio deal, grammy performance, and the song was created to be a smash. [Sia + Max Martin + simple lyrics]

feeling so hot tamale

Does anyone else's Spotify now randomly start a radio station based on the last song you heard? I think it's an annoying feature tbh.

On two occasions I have listened to the same playlist where Gaga is the last song then this song starts to play. I low key have started to like this song but it seems like the success of it could be rigged. I did not type in "Chained to the Rhythm" and I know Spotify chooses similar artists, but I can't help but think that other people have given the song some streams out of them personally wanting to listen to it.

Before y'all discredit me as a hater, I do like Katy and have been to 3 of her shows so I am a fan (I was front and center at the Prismatic tour and she seriously touched my hand).  But I just do not like involuntarily adding to the success of a song. It just does not seem right to me.

How much were CTTR's first week sales and Applause's first week sales? I want to know whether to shut down people calling ARTPOP a flop or if I'm just gonna end up like a flop saying Applause sold better if it possibly didn't

Applause was 200k-225k.

In my messy era.

still Gaga got dragged for it that it peaked at #4 and I don't think that CTTR will out-peak #4 wich is even more "flop-ish"

We'll have to wait and see what happens.

how much has it sold? :nails:

ironic, isn't it. CTTR sold the same amount as PI but radio and streaming really lifted it up
