Impostor 4,114
I've been reading really negative comments towards that performance. Not only people are saying the mic fail was bad, they're calling the whole thing cringe worthy and tragic. Some of the posts are really rude. "poor performance, its sad but is true..." "R.I.P metallica" "i guess metallica is for posers now" "JAJAJAJAJ los metalifans están shokeados por la "" mezcla tan desigual "" pero tendrán que acostumbrarse por qué metálica quiere a gaga como su nueva integrante ..." "WTF is this pop **** ? **** this freakshow Gaga ! **** this **** and **** Metallica for what they've become ! Maybe Katy Perry next time ??" 0:36 microphone failure, 2:36 James knocks down the microphone, 3:05 Lady Gaga almost falls because of the microphone James knocked down, 3:30 James picks up the microphone and keeps singing, 4:36 James knocks down the microphone again. 4:43 James throws his guitar offstage! That is why metal bands are not supposed to do this… There are also some positive comments. "terrific performance. Best part of the whole show." "I like it. Metal elitists are the worst. You can appreciate her vocals. The only thing to hate would be the ****ed up mic." "**** happens people ITS CALLED ****ING METAL! Metallica can handle a mic malfunction! Stop being baby's!" Do you guys think Metallica will be a hit again?
Rat Boy 43,561
I think they'll be okay. "****ing rat" - @Dynamite
SlaeUrAnus 15,969
They are already legends with a long lasting career. Some Metallica fans are ignorant with them thinking they are "selling out" because they are collaborating with a Pop musician which is narrow minded They will be fine. In my messy era. JustYouandI 2,483
Metallica is a living legend. One of the greatest bands in the world. No way a tenichal mistake in a Grammy performance, that have turned into a bit of joke in these past years, is going to "end" them.
Guest
metallica is the most well known and mainstream metal band ever. They've been in the business for 40 years so i think a little blunder in a performance won't destroy their careers.
Wenli 826
No, don't be ridiculous.
sipthistea 21,099
The only thing destroyed is their fans' ego. They can hate Gaga no matter what, but that doesn't change what the band thinks of Gaga. So they can remain pissed and follow someone else. Metallica remain legends. Edonis 28,950
Is that actual negative reception or just comments from YouTube or Facebook But they're considered legends in the rock/metal community. So no.

Just to play devil's advocate, though, I'm sure that if Gaga were performing with a newer, different performer, we'd all be question said performer. junolxf 8,654
No, some metal fans are like that. Cry babies. "Seems to be trendy lately to talk sh*t about 'Lady Gaga' when your albums/singles drop." - Leviticus 20:
Gonzi 2,800
omg I check the comments and a lot of people didn't get the mic feed only part and think that is the actual video of the performance, which obviously makes it seem even worse
Seeka 12,372
Ummm... Metallica's career has been alive longer than most GGDers so I have no idea where this has come from.

You're right, we would question it, but I trust that she wouldn't perform/collab with anyone she wouldn't approve of and is completely talentless *cough* *Chainsmo-* *ack* Her performing with someone "new" would be an artistic choice and not a commercial one. If she announced a new single with Alessia Cara, I'd be skeptical, but I would believe in Gaga's reasoning. They / Them 🏳️🌈
Doroteyo 444
kind of unrelated but why doesn't she just go up to him and share the mic when she sees his isnt working? every man for himself i guess
