When she can't reach for the note (always) she makes this meowing sound and on lower extended notes, she sounds like she's lifting weights. I suppose it fits in with her dreamy image too. Read about how when Dr. Luke was recording Teenage Dream that Katy had to record every other line of the verses and then piece it together. This is not music or talent and shouldn't be celebrated. We should definitely hold people to a higher standard so we can encourage quality work. This is TRASH. She obviously cares very little for her craft and I haven't seen any vocal improvement whatsoever with her. At least Gaga takes her craft seriously and has worked on improving her voice with every new album. It's the LEAST you could do as a singer...
