Gonzi 2,800
tbh this single launch seems a little sketchy to me. I don't think those streaming counts are accurate and they obviously have a big radio deal holding it up. Aren't popular radio/streaming songs supposed to have more sales potential? it's promo after all, CTTR should be doing better

DeanWinchester 41,390
Well personally, I've only ever called MR a cute/decent/moderate hit. Not a smash hit. CTTR will undoubtedly enter the top 10 and have exposure, but it's currently far from katy's previous single power. Flyin' like a 1000 Doves

Bear 7,515
I know what you mean, I think they are both successful songs. CTTR might be under performing for what you'd expect by Katy standards and for the amount of reach it has, but it is still doing pretty well by all accounts and I wouldn't call it a flop. The method CTTR used to get there is a whole other topic, but I'll save my rants about streaming for another thread

Gaga's album sales have been good with a single that is doing well against all odds. She just had one of the highest praised and most watched performances of recent memory. Every concert stop, even large venues, sells out in minutes. What do fans have to be upset about? I think you are being too sensitive over people discussing the underpermance of CTTR. Im a big fan of both artists so yes i dont like it when one base puts down the other as for re-assuring, yes Gaga is succeeding... but she still didnt have smash hit singles like many fans like to see, im sure many of those fans feel good to talk about any under-performance from Katy Perry But in any case my main point stands. Fans are only looking at the aspects they wanna look at MR sells well and flops in every other aspect, they ignore the other aspects CTTR underperforms in sales and does well everywhere else, ppl only focus on the under-performed sales Sounds like ppl are picking and choosing what data to deem important
