For example, Beyonce's tour ended and she's still promoting her album. Remember when she was still touring the Monster Ball when she was promoting the Born this Way song. The new era was long overdue by that point. Also, I like how the era ends with the tour. Every big fan spends all year looking forward to the show they are attending. Then when the show has been and gone they look forward to the next time.
