SlayedForTheGod 665 Posted February 16, 2017 Share Posted February 16, 2017 i want yall to realize that the number of writers on an album should have **** to do with if its worth a grammy. its the final product that counts. adeles album was a substandard pop album and the only thing that made it sell was her name and voice. had it been sung by kelly clarkson or some other pop girl it would be no where. and theres lemonade. an album that meant so much to so many people. you never get to hear black women talk about this stuff and shove it in the faces of white middle america. It is an album that was released in such a crucial time for colored america. it pains me to see how people dont understand how it deserved this award. If you believe so much in the "racial prejudice" going on within the voting system then don't submit your music? at least Frank Ocean was brave enough to stand up for his point of view instead of submitting his album craving for awards. Also not being readily available to the public hindered her chances. Adeles album, although simple was more sincere and all herself. She didn't need crazy producers, samples, features, it's all her. She also revived album sales in a dying industry. She deserved it. And you can't call racism when a lot of black artists are making booty popping music.
