The lead single I Got You has peaked at 53 on the US Hot 100 and seems to be a regular on the 12am-5am rotation on radio. My question is, what do you think of Bebe and her career thus far? Has she made smart career choices? Clearly she is better known for her guest vocals and songwriting, but I find her sadly underrated as an artist. She reminds me of a more commercial Tove Lo? Bebe has great vocals and is a talented songwriter. While I enjoyed No Broken Hearts, I found the club anthem to be a little beneath her. I Got You still relies on some pop tropes, but I think it's lyrics suit her more. I was surprised to see her releasing her debut album in two parts this spring, and then as a collective whole with additional songs this summer. Doesn't really make the most sense sales wise, but I do find it an interesting choice. A bit of a ramble , but was just curious where most people stand on her. Bottom line for me is that she's talented, but a bit overlooked and perhaps a bit wasted? I guess I'll have to wait and listen to All Your Fault Pt. 1.... I have tickets to her upcoming tour so I am excited to listen to the new music that I will get to see her perform. I LOVED her debut EP. All of the songs are in my top 25 most played which is really odd for one artist. I think a lot of people judge her based on the look that she portrays. I don't personally love her look and I think she looked so amazing as a brunette. Unfortunately I think she needs that extra sex to sell herself and really get noticed. She will do fine, I doubt she will have a huge smash right away but I am excited to see her evolve. Maybe a big song writing credit for a major artist could boost her image a little. I'm lowkey excited too? And have considered seeing if I can attend a show. She seems really sweet and we know she's talented. Her image doesn't bother me too much, I just hope she continues toward making pop with substance! However, since this album is split into two-parts, each part will only be 6-7 songs which is about EP length. She did state when they're both released together this summer, that additional songs will be available. So, sounds like the completed version for release Summer 2017 will have 14+ songs. If I'm correct, the only physical release will be for the complete version... Part II will be released April 17, 2017 (two months after the first).
