Beats my why Gaga and Beyonce have not been played that much over the past few years ;) Surely they both could afford payola, but nothing implies they are going to ;)

paying Radio Stations or Hosts for playing your Song or sending them gifts on their birthdays for example

how can anybody misunderstand what payola means? :saladga:

Tbh, I never liked katy and never will. She's not an artist she's a manufactured pop girl that cannot sing and not even dance properly. I don't even know how she gets hits. Payalo is the only reasonable explanation

Also, Gaga has always been a big ****k you to the music industry and how they treat pop girls so I think the radio stations don't like it.

I agree, however 98% of songs played on radio are picked by a computer, Katy always has been radio friendly, The GP still see Gaga as 'crazy' and it is disrespectful

Welcome to GagaDaily, it looks like things just got messgendary.

The fact of the matter is, in the last three days, I have heard "Chained to the Rhythm" more times on the radio than I've ever heard "Perfect Illusion" and "Million Reasons" combined.

And that's from just one station. This is some bullshît.

The music industry has been trying to get rid of Gaga for quite a long time now, and it almost happened during ARTPOP, but our girl is not giving up any time soon and is in fact about to snatch another top 10 hit even without the support from radio and Spotify.

The fight she is putting up right now with Million Reasons is really inspiring and it just shows how shallow and manipulative the music industry can be.

For the record, radio stations in Texas have always been shitty towards Gaga's music. Not sure when she pissed them off, but ever since Born This Way, I hardly hear Gaga songs other than her older material sometimes which never includes Bad Romance.

And I remember making requests via texts nearly every day following Born This Way, and getting little to no results. They were shitty during ARTPOP and now they're shitty with this Joanne material.

I usually had better luck with streaming services like Pandora, iHeartRadio, Apple Music, except for Spotify. Spotify have been **** bags ever since Gaga got an exclusive Apple Music deal.

but I concur on the unfair treatment.. it's BS!

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

Exactly my point!!! She is so relentless and inspiring and I wonder who cares so much about her decay. Might be Troy Carter and many others who are not in favor of her policy and artistry.

The same is happening in Poland!!! The biggest radio stations who used to lick her boots back in 2009-2011 have now turned their backs and I've only heard PI twice or three times on the radio ,they did not even add any of JOANNE's songs to their hit lists, but the moment Katy dropped her thing, it appeared right on the very same list on  the very same day. It's been like three days since the release of CTTR and it's already being overplayed in Poland....

I think there is definitely something fishy going on behind the curtains that we don't know yet.

During TFM era Gaga became so big, like no other singer before her really, and with Born This Way she became very vocal about her beliefs and views, she was influencing a lot of people in a way that few other pop stars ever did. I guess that's when she crossed someone's path, someone who had a lot of power and who didn't like Gaga's ways at all. And then things started going bad for Gaga, Adele appeared very conviniently out of nowhere, Katy started to get big, etc.

Maybe I'm just looking too much into it, but I can't help but feel that Gaga's downfall might have been plotted and carried out by certain forces. And these same forces don't want to see her being on top again.
