I love Frank Ocean but I mean the Grammys snub a lot of amazing artists. It's just a piece of metal, it shouldn't determine anything. Music is so subjective. He just sounds salty.

Can I just bring up the possibility of 'sales and popularity' affecting who gets the award rather than 'race'?

1989 was massively successful, and produced 7 singles, three of which went #1 on Hot 100. We know the Grammys reward popular music because apparently the presumption is that there must be something really unique about your music which instigated its success.

Dark Horse was nominated and the acclaimed Do What U Want wasn't. Why? Because it didn't have a video and Dark Horse had 1 billion views.
