I feel kinda bad for Katy, but it had to happen eventually. When you have the same style for 7 years people get bored. I still think CTTR will become a moderate hit a la You & I, but if she wants to be on top again she will need to take a few risks

And she cant counting on same producers and co-writers over and over again (Dr. luke, Max Martin, Sia, etc) :trollga:

And I wonder It wasnt Love It wasnt Love

I think it's still too early to write off considering she has the Grammys coming up. But if that doesn't help her significantly.. then idk..

She'll be okay. Katy is a very hardworking woman and I'm sure if CTTR doesn't make it to #1, She'll choose something more risky for Single #2. :staymad:

Aside from the superbowl, has anyone ever talked about a Katy performance? Like....at all? Not trying to be shady, but there's going to be MUCH more talked about performances that night.

KatyCats are overreacting to the MAX. Their girl is still a streaming monster and I'm sure the song will be a hit. Spotify has her back too.

OMG :ladyhaha: this even more than our oscar meltdown

Even if u change style... not one is on top forever, even the biggest legends

Its an industry where its literally impossible to dominate for more than a few years

Even acts like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Beatles, Abba etc

People get the impression looking back that they dominated their entire relevant careers but they really didnt

Most had their 3-5 years of extreme success... after that they still had hits and success but it was more toned down. Not every song they released became a hit. They did have some flops in most albums and they werent the #1 headliners anymore even if they were still relevant
