xoxo Craig 55,649
Hang on, did someone not predict that this was going to be her ARTPOP era??? Someone on here? Cause, Applause was the lead single and got to No.4, now Katy's lead Chained To The Rhythm is at No.4? The video is No.1 trending on YouTube here in the UK End Racism Now
LGJoanne 303
It'll be a hit. Grammys performance is coming and Spotify deal will do the song wonders
DXPE 924
In all honestly, it's not really that great of a song. I was disappointed when I heard it I was expecting more
Mister Gaga 22,895
She's about to have her ARTPOP era. CTTR will be a little hit, like Applause, because it lacks social impact; it's just another bop, and in this case (imo) is a regression, when you compare it to her earliest work. She's not evolving. I don't think she waited too long, but i do think that Rise kinda killed the hype, and she delivered the same thing she has been delivering since 2010. A change was required, and she took the safe route.
Phoenix 17,395
The song is barely out lol. I believe it will still have success chart wise in the end. 💎
ferretti 5,808
I feel Katy normally has a slower start, no? I think she'll take off after the Grammys, but this is no Roar. So, ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ People have to get a little sick of her samey-same songs, right? Eventually? disco stick tester, inquire within
nikola 4,342
Well its not that she waited too long....its that she does same **** over and over again......she need to change it a little bit.....like this song doe nothing for me and for the most people......... I've got an "F" and a "C" and I got a "K" too And the only thing that is missing is a bitch like "U"
EdgeofTeeth 1,934
Maybe the GP is finally catching onto the fact that she's releasing the same music over and over.
migamiga 12,101
I honestly didn't even realize it's been that long. She's always on the radio so I feel like no one really misses her. But the song is just not good so I think the sales are reflecting that
Chazulution17 15
No, I don't think she came in too late. The song is #3 on iTunes and competing with a current #1 hit and a song that's on sale from a soundtrack that just released today as well. Once word gets out more and she performs it at the Grammy's, it'll soar to the top. If not, the inevitable music video release will help push it as well. River 116,265
It's one reason: no Dr. Luke. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
Whispering 18,865
Nah. Outside of music forums, no one realizes the time between eras. The GP simply doesn't keep track of something like that. If you release a good enough song and radio supports the hell out of it (like they will with every single Katy puts out from this album), it will become a hit. Lucas 26,794
I agree. But it was bound to happen, she peaked with Teenage Dream and from there she will only go on a low until she hits rock bottom and starts to rise again. It happened with sooo many pop stars... Let's not judge the single's performance too soon though, when Roar was released we all believed it would flop but it became a hit!

Andd to be honest most of big pop stars 'failed' their comeback in terms of success the last few years... Not really though. Beyonce and Rihanna did amazing. Gaga did okay. Britney would flop anyways xD
